The Landmark Fitness Club and the Women’s Professional Racquetball Organization (WPRO) and the International Racquetball Tour (IRT) are proud to present the 3rd Annual Ektelon WPRO Texas Open Pro/Am. The 2011 Texas Open will be held August 26-28, 2011 at the Landmark Fitness Club in Dallas, Texas.

The 2011 Ektelon WPRO Texas Open is the season kick-off event for the Women's Professional Racquetball Organization (WPRO) as a Tier 1 Event with players from all over the world competing for $10,000 in prize money. We anticipate a highly successful, well-attended event with first class hospitality and exposure offering sponsors the opportunity to showcase their company or organization on a grand stage featuring the top racquetball players in the world from across the United States, Mexico, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Japan and more.

The 2011 Texas Open will be held at the Landmark Fitness Club in Dallas, Texas, a state of the art facility, featuring 6 championship courts with a center “show court” with glass walls on 3 sides. This will provide exceptional brand visibility for the tournament’s premier sponsors. The WPRO Tour represents the top female athletes in the sport of racquetball. Players include members of the U.S. Racquetball Team (who represent the U.S. in International and Pan American competitions), collegiate & junior national champions, national team players from Canada, Chile, Colombia, Japan, Mexico & other aspiring athletes from around the world.

The Landmark Club has teamed up with the WPRO and IRT to offer a first-class championship event which is USAR/TXRA sanctioned and will include both professional and amateur singles and doubles divisions for men and women.

AMATEUR SINGLES AND DOUBLES DIVISIONS OFFERED FOR BOTH MEN AND WOMEN!
The Texas Open will feature both singles and doubles amateur divisions fully sanctioned by TXRA/USAR for Men AND Women along with the women's pro singles division. This IS NOT a PRO ONLY event. All participants must have current USAR/TXRA memberships to participate in the tournament. USAR memberships may be purchased or renewed during online registration for $50 for a full 1 year membership or $20 for a limited 1 event membership (good for only 1 tournament/year).

WPRO Pro Singles Entry: All players who wish to enter the WPRO pro singles division should enter the Pro division directly through the WPRO Commissioner at wprocommissioner@wprotour.com and online through the R2 sports tournament registration site no later than August 19, 2011. (Online registration coming soon). All pro division entry fees are retained by the WPRO. Pro division entry fees are $80 and includes WPRO dues ($10 per event unless Pro is already a full member of WPRO). If players would like to enter another division in addition to the Pro singles division, all players should enter the other division online at the R2 Sports Tournament Site. Note: Additional divisions entered will be charged the as the 1st event / 2nd event fee displayed since the WPRO retains all WPRO Pro Singles division fees.

Tournament Shirts:

All tournament participants and event sponsors will receive a custom screenprinted Texas Open cotton short sleeve t-shirt at the event. If you would like to support our 3rd Annual Texas Open event and have your name or company logo appear on the back of this year's t-shirt, all Silver, Gold and Platinum level sponsors will have their name or logo printed on the back of the shirt. Any extra t-shirts will be sold at the tournament for $15.00 each. Quantities are limited and available on a first-come first serve basis on Saturday, after all participants have received their shirt.
